TOBIAS' BAND EDGUY TOURING WITH THE SCORPIONS

On April 3rd Tobias will release his new Avantasia double album "The Wicked Symphony / Angel Of Babylon". Once again Tobias has gathered lot of great musicians to join him on this epic, high profile artists such as Eric Singer (KISS), Bruce Kulick (ex-KISS), Bob Catley (Magnum), Jorn Lande (Masterplan), Ripper Owens (ex-Judas Priest), Michael Kiske (ex-Helloween), Jon Oliva (ex-Savatage) to name only a few. One of the undisputed highlights of the album will be an anthemic track called "Dying For An Angel" featuring Scorpions-vocalist Klaus Meine.

But this song won't remain the only "collaboration" of the two.  In May the Scorpions will set off on their farewell tour and they have invited EDGUY to be a part of that tour and play as special guests on the German leg of the tour.

Tobias comments: “It is a real big honour for us to have been invited by the biggest German Rockband ever to be the special guest on their German tour. The SCORPIONS have paved the way for all German bands, no matter if some bands want to admit it or not. They were the first band to break into all international markets with a bang and they underlined their larger-than-life status with countless great albums, mega hits and amazing shows. I will always remember a common show we played in Bulgaria when I was watching their entire set from the side of the stage and how impressed I was by their energy and enthusiasm for playing. I was honoured and impressed by Klaus’ vocal performance when he recorded some guest vocals for my forthcoming AVANTASIA album. He is one of the best and most unique Rock singers the world will ever see. From a fan’s point of view it fills us with sadness to know that this will be the last chance for us to share the stage but as a band we feel honoured and we are looking forward to celebrating with them on their farewell tour and share the stage one last time. And as a fan I am especially looking forward to be able to see their show from the side of the stage every night. See you all on tour!”
